THE NUPTIAL KNOT
Almost all of my friends are getting ready to hear the marriage knell.. oops, sorry, bell. But, the interesting part is, the latest trend is either in staying away from each other after marriage, or staying together from before marriage. There're very few who begin to stay together right after the ceremony. With cell phones getting so popular and cheap, the whole family runs over ringtones, and the "oodal"s are far and less to come by. Just a no-call day, to end it all, then the konjal begins again...
He: nee inniku enna samacha?
She: rava upma
He: ok, appa naanum adhe panren...
He: aiyo, karugi poi ore karuppa vandhirukku....
She: paravaala, naan pannadhu aduppulaye ottinduduthu, varavela... paatharathula keezha oatta panni, mixiela pottu araichu thaan saapten....
aaha, enna othumada.... neenga eppo thaan karthik-radha maadhiri inaiya poreengalo....
If this is one style, the other is a li'l different... They live together from before marriage...
She: dey, innikku officela boss romba kadiya pottuttaanda, konjam coffee pottu tharaiya...
He: okda chellam... sure, innikku ella velaiyayum naane paarthukkaren, u take rest...
(idhula gavanikka vendiya matter ennanaa... officelayum iva velaiya avan thaan panni iruppaan... ava full-a ukkkaarndhu kallu paattu kettundiruppa :P)
She: ennada coffee podara.. worst-a irukku... atleast samaiyalaavadhu ozhunga pannu
He (manasukkula) : ellaam kalyanam varaikkum thaandee... apparam gavanichukkaren
hmmmm.... ennavo, this only reminds me that i too am getting old, and not long away from beginning to bear the weight of a partner :-s
i jus' hope, i'd be in chennai to attend these weddings... luv u all guys... shall definitely (_try_ :D) to call u all soon after marriage.... ( epdiyum thaniya thaana irukka poreenga :P )
