Nuggets, Nuggets, Nuggggg....
Hmmm... its been more than two weeks..... frankly.... busy with projec...
wait, before i proceed further, iam totally drugged, first with 14 ill-prescribed hershey's nuggets, Rahman's Kangalaal Kaidhu sei and now, this news of not having to present my first report for RA stuf..f.f..ffff.....
ok... lemme save u from it fast... with 3 presentations due in 2 days... a bout of slight fever (ppl here call it some 'flew', don't know what flew) and a totally empty fridge :(, the last few days were hecKticK...
Rapi, had one of those off days, when he had a gud blog, rather a link from somewhere... Pretty clearly says why I'd vote for JJ again... and why tamils are gifted, don't think iam semiconsciously bluffing, it has all to prove it... vaazhga amma pugazh.... bad of her for having arrested an editor from my favorite daily...
Another good news this week, Ramesh back in the Indian team is excelling.... Call back all those ppl who sidelined him for poor footwork, he's doing much better than all the other technically-good openers you brought in... Hope to see Hemang Badani in the one-dayers...
Okie, that li'l bad news, was fooled again... With a presentation due tomorrow morning, lemme bring myself back to senses with a bad news... When young, I used to lose to my father in chess in four moves consecutively... and he used to tell me only one thing for 10-15 times "DON'T REPEAT YOUR MISTAKES" and after that we have an even head-to-head record... but, there's one person in Lubbock who has been really fooling me and I do the same mistake again and again, believing and trusting... This time, I think I gave it back today, but, really feel bad that I was cheated... I still love the person a lot, so, may do this mistake again :((
neways, shall get back to bed and do some reading in the morning, before I start mumbling in my sleep from around 8:15am

Mythology and Movie names
Don't mind my discontinuity with the previous blog... All the hoopla is only worth forgetting till January, for till then I wouldn't know anything for sure...
But, quite sometime after watching the movie, I finally got time to sit down and blog of Pithamagan, the latest bala movie, starring Vikram and Surya, unquestionably the best young actors in Tamil cinema (don't drag me into the brawl about Madhavan again, he's good, but I can never chart him in the list of bests... call it whatever)
This movie is good, if that's not an understatement. For all that we get for movies these days, this definitely deserves an applause. Moreso, when there's so little a story and so much fillers.. The story slowly builds in the background of a man seeing the world and getting to know more about living people... Born and brought-up in a burial, all he's seen is wails and corpses.. When he comes out to the world, he needs no one to stand for, he knows none to salute, but, never forgets help, which the supposed-to-be civilized people do. With some nice funny bits involving Surya and beautiful portrayal by Laila, the movie is never boring, not even in the song, which is a medley of oldies... The director has taken a bold step in killing one of the heroes, not many indian directors dare. The climax had its cinematic fittings, but, overall, the movie deserves to be a major hit. Surya and Vikram show again that they are the best after Kamal.
I liked the movie, being fair to the crew of Pithamagan. And honestly, I can't find too many obvious mistakes in the movie, definitely not more than what you'd find any of Shankar's or even Mani's... Hats off to Bala... Hope he doesn't go into the oblivion like an R.V.Udayakumar and the likes...
Well, the only shortcoming I could notice of the movie was its title... See no reason why it should carry the name of Bheeshma, but, I never understood, why Bheeshm was called pithamagar so either.. May be because he saw his father married (which makes more sense to me than being the father for everyone in the epic!!!). But, not for no reason would Bala have done that, going by his credentials... So, take no credit off him

ELEPHANTINE BATH
My memory fails to remind me of another instance in recent history, when the front page of a daily had only one news focussed. It happened yesterday in THE HINDU. It was all about the arrest of its journalists. I don't understand what exactly happened, but all that's happening is a fall out of : "The Assembly resolution said that an editorial published in The Hindu on April 25, 2003 was written in a manner causing breach of privilege of the action of the Assembly Speaker who was the custodian of the House, as well as the action of the Privileges Committee and in the primary process imputing ulterior motives to the House as a whole. It held that The Hindu Editor and four others had committed a punishable offence of breach of privilege of the House and sentenced them to undergo 15 days' simple imprisonment. ".
Frankly, the only thing Iam concerned about the whole episode is the question that, "Has Ms.JJ ruled herself out of winning the next elections?" She has already antagonized the press badly, she's got the bus-drivers, lorry drivers and the post office personnel against her. And the foolish followers of MK still exist in the state... Now, Tamilnadu is again going to be destined to be devastated by the misrule of DMK... Please, I know JJ has looted a lot, only that she did that in one tenure and we got to know about it and all the atrocities of MK have been brushed under the carpet. People of Tamilnadu, especially the decent middleclasses, now have nothing to do but rue their fate. The flyovers in Madras, most of which are fit-for-nothing and the railroad continuation by the city mayor, the quality of which almost led to the death of a couple, will be remembered by none. The best period in TN has always been JJ's rule in the last few years, even when JJ wiped off the state coffers. Go back to the statistics as mentioned in the same daily three years back. Not again would we want to see TN as an 'irreformable' state. And given the current scenario, that is exactly what Iam going to see in 5 years from now... This act of JJ is like spoiling her own prospects... She's got to learn to drop her presumptuosness and be another of those politicians... If normal people would play politics in their day-to-day life, why not a politician, that too the CM of TN???
